Practice project: Paper Crane at the Rain Stop
Plan an original 30-second scene: one adult gives a paper crane to another adult waiting for a bus; both look toward the newly lit stop sign. Use one location, two people and one prop, without existing anime characters. Six shots last 4, 6, 5, 5, 6 and 4 seconds.
Practical steps
- Make a dialogue-free pass with rain, paper and station ambience. Do not borrow unauthorized film audio.
- If dialogue is needed, use one line: “For you, while we wait for the rain.” Prefer your own recording; obtain explicit permission before synthesizing another person’s voice.
- Keep dialogue, ambience and music on separate tracks. Align paper sounds with the offer or reception.
- Listen on headphones and a phone speaker; lower music masking speech and check clipping or abrupt cuts.
Deliverable and checks
Deliver separate audio tracks, a permissions list and a sound animatic. Automatic cleanup and loudness processing do not replace listening and mixing decisions.
