Practice project: Paper Crane at the Rain Stop
Plan an original 30-second scene: one adult gives a paper crane to another adult waiting for a bus; both look toward the newly lit stop sign. Use one location, two people and one prop, without existing anime characters. Six shots last 4, 6, 5, 5, 6 and 4 seconds.
Practical steps
- Build a 30-second timeline from the six-shot plan. Trim malformed actions and unnecessary holds first.
- Check handoff direction, eyelines and which hand holds the crane. Cut to a close-up to solve difficult joins instead of hiding everything with transitions.
- Review automatic subtitles for names, line breaks and display time; keep safe margins on a phone.
- Reopen the exported file and inspect black frames, sync, ending, aspect ratio and actual duration.
Deliverable and checks
Deliver a draft, editing project and subtitle file. Export success is not platform approval. Keep a subtitle-free master for localized versions.
