Practice project: Paper Crane at the Rain Stop
Plan an original 30-second scene: one adult gives a paper crane to another adult waiting for a bus; both look toward the newly lit stop sign. Use one location, two people and one prop, without existing anime characters. Six shots last 4, 6, 5, 5, 6 and 4 seconds.
Practical steps
- Use four panels for setting, crane, offering and receiving; vary size to control emphasis.
- Draw small monochrome thumbnails first and keep one consistent reading direction across the page.
- Reserve space for balloons and lettering. Do not rely on image generation for readable dialogue; typeset it in drawing software.
- Check lettering, hands and panel relationships at phone size and in print preview. Save layered source files separately from exports.
Deliverable and checks
Deliver a readable four-panel page, layered file and font permission record. AI thumbnails can assist, but the author remains responsible for text, structure and reading order.
Check before use
Use only material you are entitled to use. Check voices, likenesses, fonts, music, models and characters separately. An AI provider does not obtain third-party rights on your behalf.
