Practice project: Paper Crane at the Rain Stop
Plan an original 30-second scene: one adult gives a paper crane to another adult waiting for a bus; both look toward the newly lit stop sign. Use one location, two people and one prop, without existing anime characters. Six shots last 4, 6, 5, 5, 6 and 4 seconds.
Practical steps
- Write the protagonist’s goal and the final change in one sentence.
- Fix one bus stop, two adults and one paper crane; record appearance, clothing and prop color.
- Split the action into setting, noticing, revealing the crane, offering, receiving and ending.
- Record rough timing on a phone without aiming for polished visuals; the total must be 30 seconds.
Deliverable and checks
Deliver one page of project notes and six timed actions. Remove inner thoughts that cannot be seen. Make the action readable before adding dialogue.
